Meeting Minutes / Treasurer's Report February 2021« on: March 02, 2021, 11:00:31 am »
February's report.
We received 3 checks from "The Network for Good" (AKA Facebook) but they didn't get posted until March. I'll discuss our balance at the next meeting even though it's not in the report. Also, I thought I'd transferred the donation that Joan's friends made via PayPal but apparently I hadn't. After fees that's another $48.60 that got moved in to our account this month. 7

General Discussion / Manna House/Paypal/Amazon Smiles/GoFundMe« on: June 10, 2020, 03:37:19 pm »
I passed on the check for the Manna House donation today. We'll be sitting on approx $950 once it clears.
We're recognized as a nonprofit by Paypal now. This lowers our per transaction fee and percentage fee for donations or sales. I haven't signed us up for their giving fund yet. They want a logo so I'm going to wait until that is decided. I tried to get us set up on Amazon Smiles today but there is a lag between the IRS website that handles that info and the Amazon system. The reply I got said we shouldn't have a problem by the end of July. Once we're signed up on that we should try to get everyone who uses Amazon to go through their Smiles system. Every sale will net us .5% of what their customer pays. It's disbursed quarterly. GoFundMe has a part for nonprofit fundraising but I'm running in to the same problem as I did with Amazon Smiles. I'm going to put both on the back burner until next month when the system catches up with itself.
